I wrote a piece back on the film Food, Inc. that was printed in the Laguna Beach Independent. I highly recommend the movie and I’ve included an excerpt of my article below (or click the link above for the whole thing)…
I recently had the good fortune to see the Oscar-nominated documentary movie “Food, Inc.” for the second time. If you have not seen this film, you should. The director, Robert Kenner, exposes the negative side of America’s modern food production system. While the film does have some gut-wrenching slaughtering scenes and its share of critics, the movie is thought-provoking and worth your time. I was most impressed with the closing scene, which lists simple, yet strong messages – such as shop at farmers’ markets, plant a garden, buy organic, and (the most powerful message listed in my opinion) cook a meal with your family and eat together. The film is not only devoted to improving what we eat, but also how we should eat.
